Juana Gita Medinnas Janis: Tak Boleh Menyerah dan Tetap Tersenyum

TRIBUNNEWS.COM, JAKARTA - Sudah dua pekan lebih, terhitung sejak 1 Agustus lalu, Juana dan para petugas Paskibraka berada di Jakarta. Juana mengikuti pelatihan, pendidikan dan penggemblengan dari para senior dan pembina.
Nama lengkapnya Juana Gita Medinnas Janis. Mimpi siswi kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Tahuna, Sulawesi Utara ini terwujud; bertugas pembawa baki bendera pusaka di Istana Merdeka.
Selama digembleng,  Juana dan rekan-rekannya tidak diperkenankan memegang alat komunikasi. Dan selama itu dirinya tidak berkomunikasi dengan orangtua dan keluarganya.
Namun, Juana tidak bisa melupakan segala motivasi dan pesan orangtuanya mulai dari tahap awal seleksi hingg akhirnya terbang ke Jakarta mewakili Sulut.
"Saya berusaha banggain orang tua. Orang tua saya selalu menyupport. Apalagi pas seleksi, ada 5-6 kali seleksi. Ada rasa ingin nyerah, tapi Ortu selalu support," kenangnya dengan mata berkaca-kaca.
"Ortu bilang harus banggain Provinsi dan banggain ortu juga. Mereka selalu kasih motivasi, tak boleh nyerah dalam seleksi dan harus tetap tersenyum," kisah Juana mengulangi pesan orangtuanya.
Salah satu pengalaman pun dikisahkan Juana saat dirinya sudah menyerah saat seleksi akhir di daerah. Tapi sang Bunda hadir menyejukkan dan menyemangatinya untuk terus berjuang menggapai impiannya.
"Waktu itu pernah, seleksinya sudah di tingkat nasional. Tapi berkas ada belum lengkap terus kita urusin sampai jam 1 malam di Dispora. Saya capek banget. Tapi kata ibu, saya harus berusaha. Ibu bilang tinggal selangkah lagi ke istana, anakku," kenang Juana.

Kini impian Juana telah terealisasi dan dilaksanakan dengan baik sebagai Paskibraka dan Pembawa Baki saat pengibaran Bendera Merah Putih di Istana Merdeka. Namun perjalanan Juana masih belum berhenti.
Putri yang mudah tersenyum ini pun menjadikan pengalaman Paskibraka sebagai batu pijakan mengejar masa depannya.
Juana pun telah memiliki cita-cita melanjutkan pendidikannya ke Akademi Kepolisian (Akpol) usai lulus dari SLTA dua tahun mendatang.
"Kalau enggak Akpol ya IPDN. Keliatannya mereka keren-keren banget. Misalnya, Polwan kan kelihatan kalau jadi Polisi enggak cuma laki-laki doang. Perempuan juga bisa mandiri," ujarnya.
Juana tampil bersama kawan-kawannya dalam puncak upacara peringatan HUT ke-69 Kemerdekaan RI, di istana. Presiden Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) bertindak selaku inspektur upacara Peringatan Detik-detik Proklamasi Kemerdekaan RI di halaman Istana Merdeka.
Adapun nama petugas Pasukan Pengibar Bendera Pusaka (Paskibraka) di Istana Negara, adalah sebagai berikut Juana Gita Medinnas Janis, siswi SMAN 1 Tahuna, Sulawesi Utara selaku pembawa baki.
Komandan Kelompok Pasukan 17,  Hafiid Kama Ra'uuf, siswa SMA Negeri 3 Batam, Kepulauan Riau. Kemudian, Irfan Mujafar Sondani siswa SMA Negeri 2 Bandar Lampung, Lampung bertindak, Komandan Kelompok Delapan.
Cahyahadi Laksanto Rasyidi, siswa SMA Negeri 3 Yogyakarta, Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta ditugasi sebagai penarik tali bendera. Dan Fadlullah Arofah, siswa SMKN 1 Taliwang, Nusa Tenggara Barat (NTB) bertugas pembentang bendera.
