Indonesia Open Chess Championship 2013, (Tiga Pecatur Tuan Rumah Mendapat Norma MI)

Jakarta, (Analisa). Tiga pecatur tuan rumah, Novita Anjas, Mohammad Ervan dan Masruri Rahman berhasil meraih norma Master Internasional (MI) setelah memetik kemenangan di babak sembilan dan sepuluh Kejuaraan Catur Indonesia Tebuka 2013, di Jakarta, Rabu (16/10).

Novita membutuhkan setengah poin untuk melengkapi persyaratan meraih norma MI. Namun di babak Sembilan kemarin dia berhasil memetik satu poin penuh setelah mengalahkan rekan senegaranya MI Danny Juswanto.

Sebelumnya Novita memetik poin dengan mengalahkan GM Paragua Mark (2571), GM Dao Thien Hai (2500), IM Paehtz Elisabeth (2440) serta hasil remis (draw) dengan IM Milliet Sophie dan CM Muhammad Luthfi Ali.

Menyusul kemudian Mohammad Ervan yang telah mengantongi 5 MP, membutuhkan setengah poin lagi untuk mencapai norma MI. Ervan memperoleh satu poin setelah mengalahkan pecatur Pilipina GM Paragua Mark di babak 10.
Sedangkan Masruri Rahman yang membutuhkan setengah poin untuk melengkapi 5 MP yang telah diraihnya. Akhirnya mendapatkan setengah poin tersebut setelah bermain imbang dengan pecatur Vietnam Nguyen Van Huy di babak 10.

Sedangkan MI Dede Liu yang berharap mendapatkan norma Grand Master ternyata masih belum berhasil. Hingga babak kesepuluh kemarin dia baru mengantongi 5 MP. Dia membutuhkan satu poin lagi.

Demikian juga WGM Irene Kharisma Sukandar, masih belum berhasil meraih norma Master Internasional (putri) yang diidam-idamkannya. Irene yang telah mengantongi 4,5 MP membutuhkan satu poin lagi. Hingga babak 10 kemarin dia hanya mendapat tambahan setengah poin setelah remis dengan pecatur India Predeep Kumar.

Sementara itu peringkat pertama hingga babak 10 kemarin, masih ditempati pecatur Rusia GM Dreev Aleksey yang kemarin mengantongi 8 MP. Dreev mendapat tambahan satu poin setelah mengalahkan pecatur Vietnam GM Nguyen Duc Hoa.

Sementara posisi kedua ditempati pecatur Ukraina GM Moiseenko Alexander yang menang atas pecatur India GM Ganguly Surya Shekhar. Moiseenko membukukan 7,5MP. (gun)

Kecelakaan, pecatur Asahan Tewas


KISARAN - Atlet catur berprestasi asal Asahan, Gedion Siagian, tewas dalam kecelakaan sepeda motor. Gedion mengembuskan nafas terakhir, Selasa, setelah menjalani perawatan intensif dua hari di RSU Elisabet Medan.

Kecelakaan itu terjadi Minggu lalu sekira pukul 21.30 WIB di Jl HOS Cokroaminoto Kisaran. Korban mengendarai sepeda motor Honda Revo BK 5308 ZY, saat akan pulang dari gereja. Belum diketahui jelas penyebab korban terjatuh dan sempat dirawat di RSUD Kisaran. Karena terlalu parah, sehingga dirujuk  ke RS Elisabet Medan.

"Kami belum bisa memastikan, apakah itu kecelakaan tunggal atau tidak, pasalnya kami baru mendapat kabar setelah korban dirawat di RSUD Kisaran, sebelum akhirnya dirujuk ke Medan, " ungkap orangtua korban, M Siagian, di rumah duka.

Beberapa sumber mengatakan, korban terjatuh setelah bertabrakan dengan sesama pengendara sepeda motor. Namun pengendarai lainnya berhasil kabur, hingga saat ini belum jelas, apakah ini kecelakaan tunggal atau tidak.

Sat Lantas Polres Asahan masih melakukan penyidikan, karena ada dua sumber, satu menyatakan tabrak lari dan satu lagi kecelakaan tunggal. "Korban mengalami luka serius di kepala. Kami masih melakukan penyidikan terkait kasus ini," ujar Kanit Laka Polres Asahan Ipda MP Pardede.

Gedion cukup dikenal di kalangan atlet catur Sumut dan berhasil duduk di podium untuk tingkat provinsi hingga 2013. Tidak hanya itu, remaja ini pernah berada di peringkat lima besar catur tingkat Asean 2009.

"Melihat prestasi Gedion, dia bakal jadi Grand Master (GM) Indonesia, karena selama ini pertasinya cukup membanggakan dan mengharumkan Asahan. Tapi inilah kehendak Allah, kita harus bisa terima. Kepada keluarga, diharapkan bisa sabar," ujar Ketua KONI Asahan, Nurkarim Nehe SE MSP.

Ketua Percasi Asahan, Syaril Sam Rao, merasa kehilangan atlet berprestasi dan Gedion merupakan ujung tombak catur di Asahan. "Kami cukup kehilagkan, semoga dia mendapatkan yang terbaik," ungkap Syaril.
